Nintendo has unveiled a new trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Nintendo has unveiled a new trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land during this February’s Nintendo Direct. The HAL Laboratory title, scheduled for Nintendo Switch on March 25, 2022, has shown the so-called transmorphosis to all its fans. “With this ability, Kirby absorbs objects and transforms into them,” confirms the Japanese company.

For example, Kirby can turn into a car and move at full speed, transform into a dispenser to attack with juice cans, or take the form of a piercing cone. Also, if Kirby evolves his copy abilities at the Waddle Dee armory, located in the Waddle Dees’ city, he will change both his appearance and his power: he will become much stronger. The goal of the pink ball will be to rescue the Waddle Dees and restore peace to this mysterious world.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land, March 25 on Nintendo Switch

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is presented as the biggest leap that the saga has surely experienced since its inception. Not only because of the construction of three-dimensional scenarios —with reminiscences, not comparisons, with works like Super Mario Odyssey or other collections from the 3D platform genre—, but also because of the production values: it’s a great production. HAL Laboratory has the opportunity for Kirby to reach new horizons in gameplay, with mechanics and boss fights previously unimaginable.

The rosy protagonist will visit a mysterious environment “filled with abandoned structures of an ancient civilization,” explains Nintendo. To date, the information shared was very little, but judging by the trailers and what we have been able to see in this Nintendo Direct, the hallmarks of the saga will not be renounced. From copy abilities to enemy types.

The key difference is that this time we can move freely through 3D areas, with more secrets and movement possibilities; added to these confrontations against bosses that now take, never better said, a new dimension. If you like the saga or want to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary with us, in this report we review the best installments of the series to date.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land will arrive exclusively for Nintendo Switch in physical and digital format on March 25, 2022. The game can now be reserved in the console’s eShop at a price of 59.99 euros.
