Fortnite Chapter 3: Check out When will the snow start melting?– With Chapter 3’s Winterfest, players can participate in all-new holiday-themed events, but there is a limit to how long they can stay cold. Snow melts closer to spring in some places of the real world than it does on Fortnite as the snow covering the island will start melting sooner than it does in real life. How much sooner will players begin to see snow recede? Let’s take a look.

According to Fortnite content creator HYPEX, the snow will start melting on January 7, 2022, at approximately 4 AM ET. The melting process will completely change the island’s map in nine stages, so all the snow will be gone almost overnight, not as gradually as it normally takes in real life. HYPEX pointed out that the melting snow will reveal the Tilting Towers around the sixth stage.

Although snow may not be completely melted yet, HYPEX pointed out that it is still possible for some to remain. The tweet showed two versions of how the map will appear at mid-season from the Happy Power YouTube video about the mid-season update.

The map on the left shows a snow-free island, while the map on the right is a concept map they made of the snow still covering Camp Cuddle, Logjam Lumberyard, and Shifty Shafts. They said that the former map may be a placeholder and the snow might melt until it makes the island appear like their concept map.
