Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1: Way to catch a Gun while fishing

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1: Way to catch a Gun while fishing– Almost every Fortnite player has experienced those rare matches where there are no weapons to be found. The feeling is dreadful, especially if you are surrounded by enemies, but you can find a weapon if you are near water. In this game, players have the opportunity to catch a gun, as well as some much-needed ammunition, by fishing. There are a few caveats to this mechanic, though, so here’s what you need to know.

Finding a fishing rod

First and foremost, you’ll need to make sure the environment you’re in has fishing rods. As this item will eventually spawn in the barrels on docks, the process becomes much easier. Most large bodies of water are accompanied by these docks, which include the lakes near Camp Cuddle, Titled Towers, and Logjam Lumberyard. However, fishing rods are also heavily populated around the circle of islands on the east side of the map.

The best method for catching a Gun:

There is no guarantee of reeling in a weapon, as you may end up catching a few fish along the way. Anyhow, the fastest way to catch a firearm is to aim your rod’s hook away from any fish in the water and ignore the first couple of pulls on the rod. Once you see the rod bending again after 15 seconds, pull the line once you see the hook still in the water. The gun you receive is likely a common assault rifle or pistol, but it is better than nothing. Better yet, this could earn you 25,000 XP, with it being one of Chapter 3 Season 1’s Week 10 quests.
