ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition has finally arrived on the market, at least in the United States: it is found at 1,999 dollars, apparently only at the two online retailers Newegg and Amazon.
The laptop had been presented during CES 2022, and not only is it a device with top-of-the-range components, but it has a very particular design and above all a secondary display on the outside. Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition was designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first ASUS laptop sent into space.
This mini display, also OLED, has a diagonal of 3.5 “ and is located on the lid, to understand” opposite “to the main panel.

It is designed to show crucial information such as notifications, custom text, date / time, battery level or Small animations. On the whole body there are also engravings with a “spaceship” style (note also the glossy space bar with ad hoc symbol); among other things, it is worth noting that the laptop is US Space Systems certified Command Standard (SMC-S-016A), which establishes resistance to vibrations and extreme temperatures, and therefore is formally suitable for use in space.
For the rest, the data sheet includes a main display OLED 16:10 from 14 “1800p and maximum refresh of 90 Hz, Intel Core i9-12900H processors with integrated Iris Xe graphics. More in detail:
