Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1: Find out the Uncharted Drake’s Map

As you all know, Fortnite’s latest collaboration brought Uncharted characters Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazier into the game as purchasable cosmetic outfits. The two recognizable characters from the Naughty Dog video game series and the recently released feature-length films are now available in Fortnite’s Item Shop. There’s more to the recent Gaming Legends Series crossover from Epic Games, however.

An accomplished treasure hunter, Nathan Drake has more to offer Fortnite players than a slew of cosmetics. The developers used this collaboration to revive the beloved Treasure Map concept shown in Chapter 1 Season 8. Epic officially rebranded ‘Buried Treasure’ to ‘Drake’s Map’ in Chapter 3 Season 1.

Today In this article we’ll explain where you can find Drake’s Map and how you can follow the trail to obtain worthwhile rewards.

A Fortnite Drake’s Map has been distributed around the island as part of the latest crossover collaboration between Fortnite and the Uncharted series, which was released to coincide with the Uncharted movie. This isn’t the first time we’ve been able to hunt for buried treasure in Fortnite, but as those previous digs took place around three years ago you’d be forgiven for not knowing that this has happened before! To collect treasure using Drake’s Map in Fortnite you need to get your hands on the navigation document then use it to track down the hidden booty, so here’s everything you need to know to discover Uncharted riches.

Fortnite Drake’s Map locations:

Now that Fortnite Drake’s Map is a standard loot item, there will not be any specific area where you can guarantee to find it in every match. As a result, keep looking in chests, supply drops, and floor loot until you find one of the distinct map items. Carrying Fortnite Drake’s Map takes up one of the slots in your inventory, so if you’re already at capacity you’ll need to ditch an item or weapon to pick it up.

How to collect treasure using Fortnite Drake’s Map?

Once you find and collect a Drake’s Map, you can use it to project a dotted line across the island leading to a place where you can collect treasure – if you’ve previously used buried treasure maps or vault keycards, this mechanic should already be familiar to you. A glowing beam of light will also shine up from the location, to help you identify it from a distance.

As you follow the directions provided by the map item, you should reach your destination, where there should be a glowing X on the ground. To collect treasure using Drake’s Map in Fortnite you now just need to hit the marked area repeatedly to unearth a gleaming chest, then search it to receive Uncharted riches – aka a selection of valuable loot!
